Student Grants

The organising committee of the 4th International Conference on Surfaces Materials and Vacuum, through the support of a variety of institutions and national organizations, offers a significant number of student grants.

The SMCTSM is very interested in actively promoting student participation in our meeting so that they have the opportunity to interact with the experienced scientists who will be presenting the results of their research and also to have contact with the leading scientists involved in the plenary talks and short courses.

This year the SMCTSM is able to offer the following grants:

1. 40 grants covering the conference inscription, which includes the normally provided material: the bag, program, etc. as well as the gala dinner.
2. 20 grants of 50% of the cost of lodging at the Hotel Krystal (sharing a triple room).

Requirements
To apply for the grants, students must provide the following:

1. A document demonstrating their status as full-time student: a copy of the student identification is enough.
2. The receipt of the membership payment for the current year (See section “fees” in this webpage).
3. The acceptance letter, as author or co-author, of an abstract submitted to the conference.

Postdocs will not be considered for these grants.
