The aim of this Symposium is to focus on the newest achievements in physics, materials science and applications in the field of nanostructures. This Symposium will foster the gathering of people for the exchange of ideas and information; it will thereby provide a platform for interaction between scientists, students and engineers from research laboratories, academia and industry. The Symposium scientific program will cover a wide spectrum of physical phenomena, both basic and applied, and technological aspects related to nanostructures. It will feature state-of-the-art developments in all aspects of processing, characterization and applications of nanostructured materials.

The following topics will be covered by the Symposium:

  • Carbon nanostructured materials.
  • Nanostructured membranes, nanoporous materials, functional coatings.
  • Synthesis, functionalization, processing and self-assembly of nanoparticles.
  • Nanotubes, nanorods, nanowires and other low-dimensional structures.
  • Bio-active nanomaterials and nanostructured materials for bio-medical applications.
  • Nanomaterials for photocatalysis, solar hydrogen and thermoelectric.
  • Nanofabrication, characterization and manipulation techniques for nanostructures
  • Magnetic and nano semiconductor rmaterials.
  • Industrial development and application of nanomaterials.
