Ciudad Juarez, the venue of the X International Conference on Surfaces, Materials and Vacuum, is a city that borders the state of Texas, in the United States. In this year, we have decided to have a special symposium with known researchers in the area of Surfaces and Material Sciences, from both, the State of Texas and Mexico. We hope this kind of meeting will foster international cooperation among scientists from Mexico and Texas.
