The focus of Tribology is to study the interactions of surfaces which are in relative motion, therefore the study of tribology is of great importance for energy-efficient machines, low maintenance energy systems, microelectromechanical devices, as well as, the efficacy and performance of Biomaterials, etc.

It has been demonstrated that an understanding of the tribology of complex and simple systems is the key to reducing energy consumption and increase the efficiency of a device. The improvement could be obtained by different means like by improving the wear resistance of surfaces, by providing a better lubrication between surfaces or by optimization of the geometry of components.

The scope of the Symposium on Tribology is aimed to cover all the aspects of the Tribology in México and abroad, and we hope to be able to actively promote the exchange of information and to create the links between the researchers working in the Tribology field. The organizers invite you to submit your contributions to this event.
